The quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup will take place tonight in various venues across the continent, with Tanzania's Simba SC being the main interest coming from the East African Region.

This midweek provides a vantage point for Africa's second-tier club competition to return, with a set of four first-leg, quarterfinal matches across the continent.

Tuesday provided a stage for the CAF Champions League to take place.

At the Suez Stadium in Egypt, Al Masry will welcome Simba SC.

The Tanzanian visitors have shown impressive form under coach Fadlu Davids and will head to North Africa confident that they can trouble their counterparts.

Simba is the only East African side remaining in the competition.

In Cape Town, South Africa, Stellenbosch FC play host to Egyptian royalty in Zamalek.

The Egyptians boast an impressive 13 continental titles (5 Champions League, 2 Confed Cups, 1 Cup Winners’ Cup and 5 Super Cups) and will be favourites against the first time South African outfit.

In Constantine, Algeria, an Algerian derby sees CS Constantine host USM Alger at the Chahid Hamlaoui Stadium.

It will be expected to be a close-fought affair, while Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas host Morocco’s RS Berkane to the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
